Power-packed with unique, interesting and challenging rounds, Master Spellers aims to strengthen the students’ spellings, vocabulary, comprehension and articulation while they compete through the levels of the competition.

Master Spellers engages participants beyond conventional learning methods and inspires them towards excellence the ‘learn with fun’ way. While each learner is a winner, the Master Speller ‘casts his/her spell’ to be the coveted winner of this exciting competition each year.

OUR TEAM

A common thread that runs through the effervescent Master Spellers team is the deep love for English language and an unwavering passion for teaching. At the genesis of Master Spellers, lies the persistent and innovative efforts of our team to make language-learning inspiring and exciting for children. Based on our team’s 15 years of research and experience of teaching and mentoring over 5000 CBSE, IB, ICSE and State Board students in Gujarat, each round of Master Spellers is designed with scrupulous insights into the language learning needs of the students. We, at Master Spellers, believe that while spellings are intrinsic to the language, the constant pursuit of enriching your vocabulary, perfecting your pronunciations, enhancing your writing skills and empowering your ideas with words can be life defining skills.

FROM THE FOUNDER’S DESK

Words always brought wonderment and the prowess of articulation never fails to fascinate me. Having grown up surrounded by books of varied genres, crosswords, Scrabble and the then-popular TV shows like ‘What’s The Good Word’, the enigma of words breezed their way through my leisure hours, influenced my teen years, gradually accommodating their permanent space in my personality. The love for books, music, art, movies and theatre often intersects and you end up discovering nuances of one in the other. What followed was an unquenching thirst for learning and the pursuit continues!

As a proud alumna of exemplary institutions like Mount Carmel School, Hislop College and St Xavier’s Institute of Communications, Mumbai, progressive and holistic pedagogy and its impact on nurturing an educated outlook, always caught my curious eye. Conducting public speaking workshops, organizing spelling bee competitions, preparing students for TED-ED Talks, mentoring them towards their academic goals, hand-holding them from panic to pride became a natural consequence of my inherent passion for building confidence through developing communication skills of school students.

As I look back at every step of my professional life, I see the milestones that have been beginnings of new journeys, each propelling the next. The genesis of Master Spellers is, thus, the culmination of a comprehensive approach towards achieving panoramic learning of the language.

HEAD-OPERATIONS
Associate-Ahmedabad & Gandhinagar

An M.A in English and B.Ed, Lilly has more than 25 years of expertise in the field of language education, curriculum design, development and implementation in a range of cross-cultural and multilingual educational settings. She has been a Product Consultant and Teacher Trainer with Oxford University Press. She has rich experience of facilitating spelling bee and language activities across Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Saurashtra and Kutch.

NEHA PAREKH

Executive Administrator

An ARNEC participant, Neha is an
AZ-certified educator and curriculum developer with a postgraduate diploma in educational management and B.Ed. Neha has over 20 years of expertise working with schools nationally and internationally. She has been passionately training school students, mentoring young professionals, and conducting educational workshops at schools she has been part of. She is well-equipped with technological and administrative skills to conduct sessions on a virtual platform.

TRUPTY KANKARIA

Trainer & Facilitator

Trupty is deeply involved in children from varied backgrounds. She is a graduate in Psychology from Pune University and has rich experience of 20 years in educating students from mainstream as well as underprivileged communities. A language enthusiast, Trupty also engages in teaching German to school students. She has conducted various workshops on communication and soft skills and trained students for spelling bee competitions.

AMBIKA SETHI

Trainer & Facilitator

A post graduate diploma in Child Education, Ambika has 15 years of experience in training school students, young professionals, middle level executives and homemakers in honing their spoken English and communication skills. She has been associated with various organisations and NGOs as a freelance trainer to develop the language skills of their employees. Ambika has conducted spelling bee events and public speaking workshops for school children.

ALIFIA HAZARIWALA

Trainer & Facilitator

A graduate from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda and a Diploma certificate holder in Early Childhood Care, Alifia has 15 years of experience as an educator and has taught students from Kindergarten to high school. Her passion for teaching is reflected in her positive approach towards children. She has been a part of various creative writing and oratory workshops and spelling bee activities and competitions for school children.
